Hello Brian, and everyone

I have been playing guitar for a couple of years now, but due to being at university I spent my playing time following tabs of my favourite bands without really understanding anything about the theory of guitar!

I have now graduated from uni and have found myself with a lot more free time, so have decided to learn to play ‘properly’. I found your website via an itunes search for guitar lessons podcasts. Firstly I must say thank you for your lessons, they are incredibly easy to follow. It really feels like i’m being taught by a real person sitting in my room with me!

I have a nice modest beginners set up. A Squier Classic Vibe 50’s telecaster (lovely guitar!), a Roland microcube amp, a couple of Danelectro effects pedals, and my new purchase, a Behringer Blues Overdrive pedal (which I am actually yet to use for more than 5 minutes!)

I also have a self built Telecaster from one of those kits you can buy as a bit of fun last summer. It’s not the best sounding guitar in the world, but it looks pretty at least! http://telekitbuild.blogspot.com/

I look forward to all of the upcoming lessons, as well as getting to grips with those you have already posted!

Chris, thanks for posting and welcome aboard.  Glad to hear that you have time to devote to learning this great instrument.  I’m going to continue putting out lessons and it’s always encouraging to hear that they are helping people - so keep up the hard work.
