Hello Brian and all - my name is David Gourlay and after being a devoted fan of Eric Clapton’s now for 25 yrs (wow time flies), my wife got me a beautiful acoustic guitar recently and I am in the process of finally trying to learn and so thrilled to see such a wonderful resource rich website to support my goal.
I live in Ottawa, Canada’s capital and while a teenager, lived in London, UK where I was introduced to Eric’s music and have not looked back - 20 concerts later in London at the Albert Hall, Chicago, Toronto, Ottawa among others (not to mention the recent Crossroads Festival this past June), I am still as passionate about his music and the blues that he has so well embraced.
I am not really sure how deep I will get into the lessons with work and life, but I am certainly committed to it and look forward to exchanging ideas with others on here.
