5.5 A Chord (Full Chord)
This Section Of The Beginner Guitar Course Covers The Following:
In this section you will learn to play the full A chord. To create the A major chord in the open position use the following fingering:
- Third finger, second fret, second string
- Middle finger, second fret, third string
- First finger, second fret, fourth string
- Strum the top 5 strings (excluding the bottom E string)
The third finger is closest to the fret. Each note should ring out. Strum five strings, excluding the low E (top) string.
