Switching between chords quickly is important, and takes at lot of practice. Try to look for common shared fingerings, and leave them locked down during the transition. Sometimes the fingers completely leave the fretboard which may make it difficult to quickly grab a chord out of thin air. Over time the transition will become quicker. Remember, accuracy is a priority over speed. Eventually you'll notice your fingers actually forming the chord in the air before they even touch the strings. Practice switching back and forth between two chords that have no shared fingerings (so that your fingers have to completely leave the fretboard)..
