4.5 How To Play a D Chord (Full Chord)
This Section Of The Beginner Guitar Course Covers The Following:
A D chord (in open position) is made with three fingers in a V-shaped pattern between the second and third fret. The middle finger pushes on the second fret, first string. This creates an F sharp. The third (ring) finger goes on the third fret, second string. Both fingers are arched as closed to the fret as possible. The first (pointer) finger goes on the second fret, third string. Push with the left thumb as necessary. The first four (bottom) strings are strummed. The result is a nice clean, clear ringing sound with no buzzing or popping sounds.
