This Section Of The Beginner Guitar Course Covers The Following:

In this section we'll cover the various roles of the left hand when playing the guitar. We'll cover how those metal strips that run down the neck of your guitar are frets and go into detail as to how notes are created by pushing down the string just before the fret. We'll cover the hammer-on technique - how two notes can be created by plucking one string with the right hand and hammering down your finger on your left-hand to create that second note. We'll also cover pull-offs, and how they are simply the opposite of hammer-ons. Pull-offs are created when you flick your finger on the string as you release it - creatingn a note. In addition, we'll cover muting with the left hand and how muting allows you to create all kinds of interesting rhythm patterns.
